Dealers can sublimate discs for the back of medals, as trophy part inserts and as button/badges, very fast, make money, and still keep the price and production time down. Here's how-
In Landscape, create 12, 2.15" text boxes that won't print (3 up, 4 across). Drop 2.15" hairline circles into each box (that will print - this will be your registration guide). Create 1 text box, appropriately sized and with the text in it. Center inside one circle.
Use the duplicate feature of your program to create 11 more and center them inside each circle. Highlight the variable text of each and make your changes and reverse print.
Place your transfer on the press face up. With the film still on the discs, place one each inside the hairline circles (no, you don't need to tape them). Your eyes will very easily see if they are centered inside the slightly oversized circle. Tip- The hardest thing to do, is to move a disc a "tinch" to get it centered. Hold a disc on edge, right next to the side you need to move in. Slowly turn the disc in your hand until it starts pushing the disc on the transfer, to where you want it. Another Tip - After the first run, there will be a lot of residual heat on the bottom platen. Place the plates one at a time, after the first cycle, so the plastic doesn't have time to stick to the transfer, in the wrong place.
Pull the head down and 30 seconds later, you are done. When the heating cycle is finished, lift the head and pull the transfer off the press (the plates won't move) and put to one side (metal face down) to cool. After they cool, put 1.5" thin foam discs on the back of each.
Then start peeling transfer and film off each disc (it comes off together, easier than skinin' an onion). You can even stack the discs, without fear of scratching, because there is a foam pad between each.
There may be something faster, but 12, about every 2 minutes, is awfully fast.
